jill and i have a couple of collaborative poetry sites that have been on hiatus. even in their active days, they were relatively quiet, intimate gatherings of a few poetry-loving pals. in the wake of the difficult decision the poetry collaborative has made to call it quits, jill and i decided we’d re-invigorate (at least) one of the sites.
we are pleased to announce that the first buried treasure, “poem.,” is launching (again) on sunday, march 8. “poem.” is the place where we take the activities of an IRL poetry group — read a poem, discuss a poem, write a poem — and spread it out over the month. this month (march 2009), we’ll be discussing a poem by denise duhamel. and next month, we’ll be using a poem by ivy alvarez.
