slurp up some poetry at juicebox

yay! one of my poems — “Inspired by a deer carcass which lay, four mailboxes down, until it lay there no longer” — is in the spring issue at juicebox, a journal of the ordinary.

i really should start sending some more things out. (i’m very irresponsible and lazy with my poems.)

weekly summary 10/10

another decent, productive week on the writing front. sometimes i wonder how that can be when my brain is otherwise in shambles. maybe there’s something to the stereotype of the mad scientist, the unstable poet, the bizarre artist.

my goals for this week were:
#1 / identify three journals for my next submissions
#2 / write one new poem
#3 / revise two existing pieces (one to submit to a journal; one for the manuscript)
#4 / read one poetry collection
#5 / (optional) complete & share one free write
